AC6 ADSL Infrastructure Chipset
TI's newest-generation AC6 central office platform
leverages TI's ADSL expertise and five generations of field-proven
reliability to deliver a tightly integrated, three-chip solution
comprised of an octal digital transceiver, an octal codec and a
dual line driver/receiver.
AC6 supports the
most lines and the lowest power consumption in the smallest area,
three important considerations. When combined, these board
level features provide the highest "true" density for central
office applications. TI's integration capabilities and total
system approach enable manufacturers and service providers to
cost-effectively increase the number of lines supported in the CO
to serve more ADSL customers worldwide in support of Annex A, B
and C.
By maximizing a system's power budget, AC6 enables more subscriber
lines and utilizes advanced power management techniques to further
reduce power on every loop. AC6 also maximizes integration at the
system, RBOM and analog levels to deliver a world-class chipset
that meets rigorous performance, power and interoperability
benchmarks in addition to the software and support you have come
to expect from TI.
AC6 features include:
-
Highest channel density ADSL infrastructure
chipset enabling more subscribers per line card
-
Lowest power solution梠nly 950 mW/port (peak power)
-
Leverages design integration at chipset RBOM,
AFE and system levels
-
Utilizes loop adaptive power management to
intelligently optimize power on every loop
-
In-band management protocol eliminates need for
local processor
-
Open software ADSL platform enabling
customer-specific functionality
-
Based on field-hardened, fifth-generation ADSL
technology
-
Utilizes high-efficiency, multiple-output
plug-in power modules
